It seems like this new business - BEER-N-AT - along the 51 Corridor is not permitted to advertise their existence. Due to being threatened with fines, the sign has been removed.

Why? 

An objective, whenever the Economic Development Commission was established a few years ago, was for promoting the growth of businesses in Jefferson Hills, and in part developing the 51 Corridor.

It is to the benefit of the residents and taxpayers to promote appropriate business in the community. Although there are a few who may not consider this particular product as acceptable, it is perfectly legal, acceptable by society, and purchased by many.

There are a number of advertising signs in this particular stretch of road. It is located a short distance south of the Practice Tee drive which has its own flashing sign, and in the same building as Curves.

This is a convenient location for this establishment, with ease of access around the back, a nicely paved drive, well marked parking spots, and a very neat and clean facility. If you have not already done so, please consider a visit to BEER-N-AT for your next purchase.

The latest is that council requested the owner to write a letter requesting a variance for the sign. It may be months before the request is reviewed and decided upon. it will further delay the ability to grow his business and remain profitable. The question remains - Can it survive all the obstacles?
