CONTACT CONGRESS FREE

The official numbers for the Senate, 202-224-3121, and for the House, 202-224-3121 are long distance calls that you pay, most of the time. There are couple of ways to contact your congressman, free. Some members of the House provide their own toll free 800 numbers.

Some Lobbyists also provide toll free numbers as follows:

        866-338-1015
       877-851-6437
       877-210-5351
       800-828-0498

Be aware that these numbers may go away at anytime.

You may first hear a short message and then be transferred to the Congressional switchboard operator.

The switchboard is open 24 hours a day, so you may easier get through at night, and leave a message for your representative.

Declaration of Independence

Independence was actually voted on and declared on July 2, 1776 by The Second Continental Congress. The document itself, written by Thomas Jefferson and edited by Benjamin Franklin and John Adams was dated July 4, 1776.  It was not until August 2, 1776 that it was signed by the representatives of the 13 colonies. Now, take a few minutes to read the Declaration of Independence.

US Constitution.

The Constitution of the United States was signed, September 17th, 1787, and this date is celebrated as Constitution Day. With this document, we should always remember that we are a nation of laws and not of men. We live by and obey the laws that "we the people" enact through our representatives and not by the dictates of men. If any man or woman should violate or circumvent these laws, an impartial court should rule. If any citizen does not agree with the laws, the constitution provides the means to change them, peacefully. Listen to  or Read the constitution in its entirety, portions, or download the audio files and take them with you. Lets all become better voters and more responsible citizens. Plus it is interesting reading and listening.

Mike Trout

Time

U. S. Marine Master Sergeant Bronze Star For Valor in Combat
Bronze Star
A SOUTH HILLS US MARINE VETERAN NEEDS YOUR HELP

Our Bethel Park Neighbor, Mike Trout has served our country for over 31 years. Mike was a Master Sergeant in the US Marines. He survived all sorts of hazardous and critical situations while in the Marine Corps. Now he needs our help!

Mike was critically burned in an unfortunate explosion in his house on June 29th, 2011. Mike is now fully disabled due to injuries he received in the explosion. Mike is unable to work. Friends have tried to get him disability but unfortunately that is tied up for a few years due to Red Tape in Washington since Mike was a Marine. Congressman Tim Murphy has stepped up to help.

Mike has no local family, so his close friends have organized a benefit to help him return to a normal life in his home. We want to show our love and compassion for a Veteran who sacrificed so much for us, by serving his country.
